Recent enhancement to company IT infrastructure specially its information center has placed it among the best in the petroleum sector companies. The center enables the staff to easily integrated data from every corner of our company with activities focusing on the following :

• Integrated Information System : Getting interactive

Our experienced programmers use and apply Oracle (Integrated Information System) in the different disciplines of GASCO to turn data into consistent , reliable and timely business knowledge automating all the company activities through the following:

-Definition of document cycle.

-Gathering and analyzing of departmental and interdepartmental data.

-Thorough study of all the handled system outputs.

-Accordingly a database was created and made available and accessible to all

concerned users.

-Avoidance of data duplication through the linking of the different related disciplines

taking into account the secure handling of information.

-Problem solving and updating of existing programs.

• Application of IT in GASCO

We use leading-edge technologies and applications that drive business performance and revenue by eliminating boundaries of time, distance and scale. In this regard IT team has pursued coordination activities focusing on installation an upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design , development of computer network. Our IT team is increasingly involved with the upkeep, maintenance and security of networks providing full technical support to every corner of our company.

- Work systems upgrading project : Keen to automate our document cycle, eliminate paperwork, manual data collection and improve work efficiency, we managed to carry out time control system and personnel dues for a number of 13 sites of the company linking them with personnel and pay departments achieving immediate efficiency and accuracy minimizing use of paper-based forms.

- PCs Expansion Project : All sites of the company were linked and connected with the headquarters in addition to enhancing the capacity and efficiency of linking lines. A full plan was devised with different scenarios to upgrade the computer network in the company to cope with technological advancement.

- User support : A survey was conducted by GASCO IT team to increase the number of PCs available in addition to providing necessary accessories, printers, scanners, while devising a plan to be gradually implemented and according to work needs to replace the old PCs with new ones in the different sites of the company. v Integrated Plants Information system (IPIS): GASCO is the first to implement the system in the area for this type of business models, which includes nine different integrated ready-made packages to better manage and control GAS plants.
