Natural Gas Pipelines.
Under the supervision of EGAS, GASCO is pursuing the implementation of the petroleum ministry plan aiming at the expansion of the national gas grid capacity.
Through the past years, GASCO has managed to supply gas to development areas in Sinai passing by Oyoun Mousa, El-Arish & Rafah ending in Sharm El-Sheikh, covering the west coast of the Red Sea reaching Hurghada city.
ACHIEVED PROJECTS ( DURING YEAR 2018 )
1-ElGamil/Domiatt Gas pipeline (50km - 42"): operation started in May 2018 with capacity 35 MSCM/day to support the supply of El-Burulus power station and to accommodate the expected produced quantities from Zohr field.
2-Dahshour/ElWasta Gas pipeline (68.5 km-36"): completing execution was in December 2018 to support the supply of Beni-Suef power station and upper Egypt consumers.
3-Feeding pipeline liquefaction plant in EDCO (2km - 30"): completing execution was in December 2018 to supply liquefaction plant in EDCO with gas. Scheduled operation is in February 2019 with capacity 600MSCF/day.
1-El-Wasta/Beni-Suef Gas pipeline (61 km – 36"): is under execution to support the supply of Beni-Suef power station and upper Egypt consumers with scheduled operation in May 2019, and capacity 22MSCM/day for the 2 phases (El-Wasta/Beni-Suef and Dahshour/Elwasta pipelines).
2-Edco/Abu-Hommus gas pipeline(29 km – 42") to transmit gas from north Alex fields, scheduled completing execution and operation in july 2019 with capacity 35 MSCM/day.
3-El-Tina/Abu-Sultan/Capital gas pipeline ( 165 km -42" ) : to transmit east Mediterranean sea gases to support administrative capital and Beni-Suef power stations in addition to cairo and south valley areas with capacity 35MSCM/day for the 2 phases. Scheduled completing execution of phase 1 El-Tina/Abu- Sultan pipeline in March 2019 and phase 2 Abu-Sultan/Capital pipeline in May 2019.
